Slim jeans are easier to find in a large range of sizes and usually cheaper to buy. Besides, I don’t really like the look of typical skinny jeans, because they are tapered to the ankle and they just don’t lengthen the leg as well as slim-cut straight leg jeans. Close-fitting (not skin-tight) straight leg jeans, in a classy dark wash will give you the longest visual line on your leg and create a look that is pretty much the same as skinny jeans but much more flattering. Try wearing them with pointed kitten heels or tapered-toe flats until you are old enough to wear heels. Just be sure not to wear them with sneakers, clunky boots, round-toe flats, or chunky pumps. A long tunic will be perfect on top. True religion jeans have some great examples of straight leg jeans that give the look of skinny jeans, but they are pretty expensive. Levi slim jeans will work too. Whatever you do, don’t be tempted to buy the light rinse, super tapered, cropped jeans that are (unfortunately) very popular right now, because no other clothes I can think of will make you look shorter and thicker than those things will.
